Guild Meeting Minutes

The Quilting Guild of the Villages met December 1. 2009. Meeting called to order by President Cheryle Hanfelldt at 7 pm. Everybody recited the Pledge of Allegiance. There was no formal meeting.
The room was very beautiful with alternating red and green tables and poinsettias as centerpieces. We all enjoyed the buffet.
Installation of officers was done by President Hanfeldt. She and the members welcomed the new President, Jeanette Flint and the new treasurer, Beth Bender.
Incoming President Flint announced she would like to have two things changed beginning with the January 5th meeting. The Sign in Table and the 50/50 table will be managed by different Chapters each month on a rotation basis throughout the year. She asked that the keys to the storage shed be turned in to her by January 1st. She asked that each Chapter bring a candidate name for Vice President to the January 10th board meeting.
President Hahnfeldt announced the Ten Year Honorees who will receive pins as follows:

Norma Davis Ann Vogel
Sandie DeVries Eileen Schulze
Betty Ruth Leach
Door prizes of fat quarter four packs were given to twenty people. Twelve members showed Christmas themed Show & Share. The 50/50 committee
had $48 to give to 6 lucky winners of $8 each.
We were entertained by "Gail and Jay" who sang holiday music and let a sing-along.
President Hahnfeldt wished everyone a safe and happy holidays and adjourned the meeting at 9:05 pm.
