Quilting Guild of the Villages--Executive Board
Meeting of June 16, 2009
Meeting was called to order by Pres. Cheryle Hahnfeldt at 3:00 pm.
Secretary's minutes of May 19, 2009 were read. Tres. Knoll wanted it known
she did not prepare the tax forms; merely mailed them on time. Tax
preparation was done by our accountant. Minutes approved.
Tres. Carol Knoll gave a complete report including the checking account
balance of $24,603.66. We are at 515 members and holding.
Vice Pres. Sharon Hall reported on upcoming Guild meetings. July 7-
picnic, bring a ccovered dish and a wrapped quilt related gift under $5.
August-garage sale of quilting or sewing items only, each chapter will
have four tables if needed.
Quilt show co-chairs Kathy Howe and Carol Reid reported they have
committees beginning to work on raffle quilts and things are progressing
well. Kathy mentioned that four chapters have not responded to the sign up
forms. Kathy and Carol are working on quilt categories. They would like
each chapter to submit the name of one charity to receive proceeds from
the 2011 Quilt Show. Voting will be done at a GUILD MEETING.
Old Business--Pres. Hahnfeldt asked how the Teacher roster is coming.
Betty Polling stated she had not received all chapter information, but
will compile what she has. Pres. Hahnfeldt asked for the Grant Monies
Application. Karen Leonard will have it ready by first part of July. Pres.
Hahnfeldt asked if everyone was receiving the minutes via e-mail.
New Business- Pres. Hahnfeldt announced a Saewing Expo in Tampa in 2010.
Also, a three-day quilt show in West Palm Beach this Nov. 13-15.

The Quilting Guild of the Villages met June 2,
2009.
Meeting called to order by Pres. Cheryle Hahnfeldt at 7 pm.
Everyone recited the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.
Secretary's minutes for Guild meeting of May 5, 2009 were read and
approved.
There was no Treasurer's report.
Vice-Pres. Sharon Hall announced our speaker had to cancel at the last
minute, and she talked about the July 7 picnic and the Aug. 4 Garage Sale.
No Old Business.
New Business- Mary Shara announced Piecemakers has some seats left for a
Shop Hop in July.
Pres. Hahnfeldt announced that the Vero each Art Museum will have a
showing of quilts from The Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum beginning June 27
and ending Oct. 25, 2009.
Our program was Show and Tell. Each chapter had one or more members
show quilts.
The Program Committee gave 7 gift certificates to Show nad Tell
participants.
Also 10 gift certificates were givven to members with name tags.
The 50/50 had $31 to give to three lucky winners. ( two $10 and one $11).
