November 2009 Newsletter 

Election for Chatham's officers will be on November 10th.  Our candidates are:

     President – Ilga Pivetz

     Vice President – Lorene Gruber

     Secretary – Margo McClary

 

Dues for 2010 will be collected at the end of November.

 

Guild SurveyIf you haven't already done so, please send your responses to Kay no later than November 10th

 

Chatham's Christmas Party will be at our morning meeting on December 15th.

 

The Guild Christmas Party will be at our regular evening meeting, on December 1st at 7:00 PM at Laurel Manor.  You are asked to bring dessert or finger food for 8 and one wrapped Christmas fat quarter.  There will be a Christmas show and tell, and everyone is welcome to bring holiday items, old or new.  Future programs are as follows:

January 2010 – Charlotte Angotti

February 2010 – Molly Waddell

March 2010 – Sharon Pederson

April 2010 – Diane McClure

May 2010 – Material Girl

 

Classes:  Once again, classes will be offered through the Lifelong Learning College.  On January 5th, Charlotte Angotti will be teaching a class – you can get details of this class by calling the College.  This class will not be listed in the College's brochure, as it was scheduled after the brochure went to print.  If you would like more information on Charlotte Angotti, visit her website at:  www.charlotteangotti.com

 

The Villages Christmas Parade is scheduled for December 12th.  Kay is collecting 10½ inch Christmas blocks that will be used to decorate a golf cart. 

 

Chatham Classes:  On Tuesday, November 17th,  Margo McClary will be teaching a new sashing technique.

 

CHATHAM QUILTERS RETREAT 2010: Retreat information and applications were distributed at the November 1st meeting.  Please read them carefully, fill out and return them with your deposit to Sandy, Sharleen or Joanne. 

 

Secret Sisters:  Third Tuesday of the month (November 17).

 

BLOTTO:  Blotto squares are due on November 17.

 

UFO Challenge:  The final UFO is #1 is due on November 24.
