 QUILTS FOR HOSPICE:  Time to start planning the quilts that we are making for Hospice, which should be completed in January.  It was decided that each group of tables will work on a quilt.

 BLOTTO:  We will resume the blotto in January.  The following motion was passed:

  • An allowance of no more than $50 will be provided to purchase fabric for the blocks;

  • Participants will be provided with the fabric necessary for the block (unless scrappy);

  • Block kits that are not sold will be given to the winner of the blotto;

  • Cost to participate in the blotto will be $2;

  • You will have two months to complete the block.

 UFO Challenge:  December 9th is the due date for item #2, the final item on your list.

 CHATHAM HOLIDAY PARTY will be the morning of December 2.  Bring any type of goodie you like.  Also, we will have a $10 gift exchange; this is optional, however you must bring a gift to participate.

The GUILD HOLIDAY PARTY will be held on December 2 at our evening meeting at Laurel Manor.  The charge for admission is a plate of appetizers for at least 10 people.

 So we don't go into sweet-tooth withdrawal, our Social Committee is planning our next social on January 6.  We will be inviting the quilters of Sunset Pointe to join us.  More info will be provided later.

QUILT SHOW - CHATHAM BOUTIQUE ITEMS:  Kay is collecting items that will be sold to raise money for our chapter.  If you have any items to contribute, please give them to Kay.

 QUILT SHOW INFO

  • Maureen Girardin needs to know if you plan on selling items in the boutique by December 2; she also needs an approximate number of items you will have for sale so she can get enough price tags.

  • If you are selling items in the boutique, they should be priced to include the 7% (tax will not be added separately).  Also, remember that the guild keeps 10% of the sales price.

  • If you are selling quilt magazines, they must be tied together in groups of six (6) and priced at $3.25.  When tying the magazines together, you must use strips of fabric -- those tied with string will not be accepted. .

  • We also need golf pencils -- if you have any golf pencils laying around, please give them to Joy Lynch.
