Directions for Tree Napkins by Marilyn Crosby, class taught by

You will need, two Contrasting Fabrics (1/2 yd of each makes four napkins.)

  1. Draw semi-circular pattern on the wrong side of the light fabric.

  2. Draw marking for opening.

  3. Put both fabrics together, with right sides facing each other.

  4. Sew around all napkins drawn, leaving the opening so you can turn them inside out.

  5. Cut out around pattern, 1/4 inch away from stitching, except where the hole is to turn the fabric, there leave 1/2 inch.

  6. Turn napkins inside out, making sure everything lays smooth.

  7. Press it down. The opening where you turned the napkin should fold nicely inside.

  8. Use a small piece of stitch witchery to seal the opening. (Press it down).

  9. Measure 5 1/2 includes from the bottom, along the straight edge of the napkin.

  10. Mark with a pin.

  11. From there, holding where the pin is, make fold in the napkin so it looks like a tree giving you the contrast of both colors.
