2009 Chatham Retreat Poem by Maureen Girardin

This year I was involved with the planning of the retreat.
Offering classes, collecting deposits and making announcements
almost every week

This is my 3rd retreat since becoming a Chatham member
and I always look forward to this time of year
learning how to do a new pattern, catching up
cutting and stitching with care

Many of you I am now getting to know
thanks for helping with the name badges, classes
and the boutique for the quilt show

speaking of the quilt show I hope you all feel proud
a lot of work, more than we know and all the
dedication, it is no cinch
To all those who worked we should thank aloud
especially Chatham's own, Joy Lynch

What a talented chapter we have and with so much passion
working together on quilts for hospice, our soldiers, children and other 
needy organizations and much work
done by our leader, Kay Hasson

As we move forward to another get away
new ideas, bus trips or a special fabric sale
let's have a "thank you" to our New 
committee for a 2010 retreat, here at Yale
