A quilt retreat we went to attend
40 plus gals ready for all day fun
"classes to take, fabric to cut and seam rippers to lend"

Prizes and games were part of the fun
Joy and Kay planned a search and hunt
To find a bag with your name on the front

No sooner had we finished this task
When it was time to play fabric bingo
Covering squares and having a blast

Pictures were taken along with a smile
working on projects and sewing squares
everyone laughing and talking all the while

It was time again for another game
so before lunch we hoped for a prize
we just had to measure the last block to size

With tummies filled and feeling refreshed
we continued sewing hoping our seams would be meshed
Later Barbara had us do some exercise
"and before we knew it, it was time for another prize"

As supper time came and went
we talked about the day we just spent
having fun making quilts as you go
and ending a perfect day with a trunk show

"A square in a square, flying geese and attic windows just to mention"
"did more than fill this retreat, it got my attention"

In closing I just want to say
you Chatham girls know how to play
